2 ex-convicts caught in Liloan drug bust

TWO former convicts were caught in a drug bust at 6:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, in the new public market in Barangay Jubay, Liloan, Cebu.

Superintendent Randy Korret, the town police chief, identified the suspects as Justino Rosal Bulfango, 41, and Jevon Gala Calderon.

The suspects yielded eight grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, locally known as shabu.

The contraband is worth P94,400, a Dangerous Drugs Board value.

Korret said both suspects have been listed as street level targets.

Bulfango is a former inmate of Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center for drug pusher, while Calderon served time at the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for robbery.

Operatives also seized P1,500 cash believed to be the suspects' proceeds from their illegal activity and the marked P500 bill used in the drug bust.

Suspects will be facing complaints for violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
