RESIDENTS of Barangay Ilaya, Dumanjug town knew Roy Allan Lamba as a youth leader in their barangay. Soon, he will be known for another thing.
This after the 26-year-old Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) chairman was arrested in a buy-bust conducted by the town police officers in Barangay Tangil, in the same town, on Saturday night, March 26, 2022.
Police recovered three packs of suspected shabu and P500 worth of illegal drug proceeds from Lambo.
Staff Sgt. Gilbert Encabo, chief of Dumanjug's local police force, said they had been monitoring Lambo's movements for weeks now.
Encabo said Lambo was even included in their drug watchlist.
Encabo said they decided to monitor Lambo after receiving reports that the SK chairman had started his own little drug trade in his own barangay.
Hours before, local police assigned in Liloan also arrested Lito Flores, 32, a welder, after he was caught selling illegal drugs in Barangay Calero, Liloan.
Police recovered one small pack of shabu worth P500 and two medium size packs of shabu worth P34,000.
