AN AUSTRALIAN national showed up at the Jagna Police Station in Bohol Province past midnight Sunday, June 4, 2023, with his face black and blue.
Vaughan Jirobard, 39, told police that the brother of his Filipino lover had beaten him up.
The victim said the incident happened in Purok 1, Barangay Malbog in the same town, where he lived.
He identified the suspect as Hanjam Omoso, a fisherman who lived in the neighboring barangay of Looc.
Staff Sergeant Artemio Jamora, desk officer at the Jagna Police Station, said that before the beating, Jirobard was having an altercation with his lover Jomar when Hanjam suddenly accosted him.
The suspect allegedly punched the victim’s face repeatedly before fleeing the scene.
Jamora said he didn’t know what the couple was fighting about. (BBT)
