POLICE in Badian town, Cebu have distributed eight pigs to some residents in the municipality.
Police Major Philip John Libres, chief of Badian Police Station, said the distribution was done in partnership with the Municipal Government of Badian, and was part of their program to help communities.
Beneficiaries of the program were Joel Antepuesto, Luisito Sotomayor, Juan Antecristo Jr., Jupre Star Beriarmente, Ruel Silvano, Gerry Deniega, Severino Tackle Jr. and Fredmor Ejercito.
Libres said the program particularly aims to provide livelihood to residents of the town.
He appealed to the beneficiaries to share their blessings by giving at least two piglets to their neighbors once the pigs have reproduced. (BBT/LMY)
