THE Carcar police have decided not to file a case against a certain Kylie Mae Aledo after she issued a public apology over the kidnapping hoax that she posted in the social media.

Aledo also went to the Carcar City Police Station (CCPS) to explain her side on the issue after her post went viral and shared by more than 1,000 netizens including the CCPS.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Ardioleto Cabagnot, chief of Carcar City Police Station, said the woman sought for their apology and explained to them that she was forced to post on her Facebook account after getting traumatized by her experience when a person inside the passing vehicle opened the car's window and catcalled her.

She, however, apologized to the car owner for taking picture of his vehicle and uploading it in the social media.

In her Facebook post, Aledo alleged "Taga Carcar, please be aware mo ani nga sakyanan, YW salamaaat sa akong mga classmates nga alerto kaayu -- wala jud tawn ko madala."

Accept naku inyung mga bad comments or unsay masulti ninyu naku. Nangurog jud ko ato nga time."

puti nga sakyanan nag sunod-sunod sa ilaha," Cabagnot said.

(I told her about the damage she has done through her post, she asked forgiveness because of her post involving the white car that was following them, creating panic among them).

"Kon tinuod gyud naa gyud siya'y liability sa pag post niya atong sakyanan nga iyang picturan pero wala man pud to mopasaka ug kaso," Cabagnot explained.

(It's true that she has a liability for posting a picture of the car, but there was no case filed against her).

Cabagnot had earlier announced that there was no kidnap incident happened in the city.

He said the police are always conducting mobile and foot patrol throughout the city to deter residents from committing crimes.

"Among gipalig-on ang (We strengthened our) police visibility sa Carcar kanunay na nag patrol atong mga pulis dinha (in Carcar the police are constantly patrolling there)," Cabagnot concluded. (BBT, TPT)
