THE Carcar police have decided not to file a case against a certain Kylie Mae Aledo after she issued a public apology over the kidnapping hoax that she posted in the social media.
Aledo also went to the Carcar City Police Station (CCPS) to explain her side on the issue after her post went viral and shared by more than 1,000 netizens including the CCPS.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ardioleto Cabagnot, chief of Carcar City Police Station, said the woman sought for their apology and explained to them that she was forced to post on her Facebook account after getting traumatized by her experience when a person inside the passing vehicle opened the car's window and catcalled her.
She, however, apologized to the car owner for taking picture of his vehicle and uploading it in the social media.
In her Facebook post, Aledo alleged "Taga Carcar, please be aware mo ani nga sakyanan, YW salamaaat sa akong mga classmates nga alerto kaayu -- wala jud tawn ko madala."
She later issued a public apology, saying "Sa mga taw nga nakuyawan sa akong post lately, mangayu lang kog sorry dakong sorry if nakuyawan mo, nakuyawan lang pud
ko tungod sa mga balita about kidnapping, sobra sd ko nahadlok ato, maong gepost dayon naku. So usbon ko mangayu kog dakong sorry kay dli tinuod nga kidnap to siya.

Cabagnot had earlier announced that there was no kidnap incident happened in the city.
He said the police are always conducting mobile and foot patrol throughout the city to deter residents from committing crimes.
