THE Cebu City Police Office (CCPO) will implement the reshuffling of station commanders in the coming days based on the results of their performance evaluations.
According to CCPO Chief Colonel Ireneo Dalogdog, even though the 11 police station commanders are all effective leaders, they should be reorganized to advance their careers.
Last week, Brigadier General Anthony Aberin, head of the Police Regional Office Central Visayas (PRO 7), commended the CCPO for garnering the highest performance rating for its 11 police stations.
Dalogdog claimed to have shifted the leadership of Parian Police Station 1 and Waterfront Police Station 3.
While Major Henry Orbiso assumes control of the Parian police station, Major Efren Diaz Jr. will assume leadership of the Waterfront Police Station.
Dalogdog ordered Diaz to deploy personnel on the baywalk in the South Road Properties (SRP), which is frequented by the people during the night.
“Isa sa iyang (Diaz) tutukan diha kining sa may baywalk diha duol sa SRP kay daghan kaayo ang mga tao nga mag tambaay diha ang uban basin naay illegal activities na paga buhaton kinahanglan naa tay mobile patrol car nga naka standby didto o di kaya mag roving para sutaon gyud kung kinsa na ang mga tao nga nag standby,” Dalogdog said.
(One of his (Diaz) foci is on the baywalk near the SRP because there are many people hanging out there, some of whom might be engaging in illegal activities. We need to have a mobile patrol car on standby or roving nearby to monitor the people there).
Dalogdog also responded to Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama's order that the city police should be able to quickly respond to a crime alarm within five minutes.
According to Dalogdog, they have motorcycle-riding units assigned to be the first responders in the event of a gun and robbery alarm since they can squeeze through the traffic. (AYB, TPT)
