IT WAS an evening of fun and laughter as members of the Cebu Centennial Lions Club gathered together for their Coachella-themed 20th charter anniversary and installation ceremonies at the Glass House of Montebello last Aug. 19, 2018.
The night began with a special performance by Dancesport Team Cebu City and a song number by Lion Jeannie Chua. It was emceed by master of ceremonies Lion Annie Cel Cañete.
The Lions prayer, welcome remarks and acknowledgment of guests were done by past president (PP) Marlon Gaw, first vice president Margaret Ang and PP Richard Cuaho, respectively.
Leo immediate past president Leanne Hailey Go delivered her valedictory address before past director general (PDG) Ricardo Ong inducted the new set of Leo officers headed by incoming president Eimee Maureen Ong.
Lion immediate past president Sarah Ong gave her valedictory address and awarded plaques of appreciation to several officers and members of the club.
An AV presentation highlighted 20 years of faithful and dedicated service by showcasing the club’s past presidents and community service programs like tree-planting, feeding programs and school outreach programs.
PDG Victoriano Chiongbian inducted the new members of CCLC, while DG Jerry Joseph Lim installed the incoming officers lead by its president, Devin Go.
Go then announced his program for the lion year with an inaugural video.
Led by its past presidents, the club celebrated with a ceremonial toast and blowing of candles and then proceeded to surprise guests with a music video presentation.
