THE send-off ceremony for the Cordova town contingents that will compete in the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo street dancing and ritual showdown competition in Carcar City, southern Cebu on Sunday, August 27, 2023, began with a Holy Mass.
The participants, composed of dancers, propsmen, and staff, will be escorted by the local officials on their way to Carcar.
Cordova Mayor Cesar Suan assured the parents of the participants that their children’s health and safety would be taken into account before they were permitted to dance in the streets.
The Cebu Provincial Information Office recently announced that the Pasigarbo sa Sugbo Street dancing competition will start at 2 p.m., while grand ritual showdown and festival queen competition will follow at 5 p.m.
The event is expected to be over by 11 p.m.(ANV, TPT)
