A SECOND year Criminology student was arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation on El Filibusterismo Street, Barangay Ermita, Cebu City past 9 p.m. Monday, May 29, 2023.
The suspect was identified as Christian dela Peña, 23, a resident of Sitio Kastilaan, Barangay Ermita.
Seized from his possession were 500 grams of substance believed to be shabu worth around P3.4 million.
The drug bust was conducted by operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Central Visayas.
Dela Peña said he was compelled to participate in the illegal drug trade in order to support his education.
He also said that he would be paid P15,000 if he could dispose the drugs entrusted to him. (BBT/TPT)
