TROPICAL Storm Dante made another landfall in the vicinity of Cataingan, Masbate around 1 a.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2021, placing 11 areas under storm Signal No. 2, the weather bureau said.
Tropical Storm Dante made its initial landfall in the vicinity of Sulat, Eastern Samar Tuesday night.
Dante is also forecast to bring heavy rainfall in Northern and Central Cebu including Bantayan islands as storm Signal No. 1 is still hoisted in these areas.
As of 4 a.m., the storm was located off the southwestern coast of Masbate and was headed toward the vicinity of Romblon with maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (km/hour) near the center, gustiness of 90 km/hour, and a central pressure of 1000 hPa.
Gale-force winds extend outward up to 50 km from the center.
