A MOTORCYCLE driver was killed after he slammed into a post along Tres de Abril Street in Barangay Punta Princesa, Cebu City in the wee hours of Sunday morning, July 30, 2023.
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Jefferson Caduyac, a native of Bohol Province who resided in the Pacaña Compound in the neighboring barangay of Tisa.
Before the incident, which happened past 3 a.m., Caduyac was drinking with friends in the Colon area.
According to one of his friends, John Barry Atim, the motorcycle was owned by his father.
Another friend, Isagani Llera, told Superbalita Cebu that he earlier asked Caduyac to drive him to Tisa to get more money so they could continue drinking.
He said they both wore a helmet.
As the evening wore on, his friends said Caduyac suddenly left with the key to the motorcycle. They had no idea where he was headed.
Only later on did they find out that he must have tried to go home.
Caduyac was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident. (BBT)
