A MAN who was reportedly drunk died after his younger brother struck him with a piece of wood.
The incident took place at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, in Sitio Luyo, Adlaon, a mountain barangay in Cebu City.
The victim was identified as Ramil Dakay Leyson, 40, and the suspect as Roderick Dakay Leyson, 36, a farmer, both from Sitio Sayaw, Barangay Taptap, Cebu City.
Based on the investigation of Adlaon Police Community Precinct, the victim, who was allegedly drunk, picked up a bottle of liquor, smashed it, and hit the suspect with it without any provocation, but the suspect managed to elude the attack.
In response, Roderick got a piece of wood and smacked his older brother in the head with it.
According to the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), the victim had a skull fracture, which led to his death.
The suspect fled after the incident and is now being hunted by the police. (AYB, TPT)
