A FARMER was killed in a collision of a motorcycle and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) in the province of Zamboanga del Sur, the police reported Saturday, August 8, 2020.
Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, disclosed the incident happened around 1:35 p.m. Friday in Dipolo village, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.
Duco said the fatality was identified as Nestor Ramayla Beriones, 57, who succumbed to fatal injuries.
Duco said investigation showed that Beriones was driving a motorcycle when accidentally bumped by an SUV driven by Genevive Jaliguey Tejada, 32, upon reaching a bridge in Dipolo village, Molave.
He said that Tejada was traveling from Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur to Sindangan, Zamboanga Del Norte, passing the Municipality of Molave at the time of the incident.
He said Beriones was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. (SunStar Zamboanga)
