A 52-YEAR-OLD man was killed by his neighbors in Barangay Malabago, Moalboal in southwestern Cebu at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, May 31, 2020.
Basilio Putian Jr. succumbed to stab wounds. The attackers were identified as Gustavo Vailoces, 56, and his son Paulo, 29, with a screwdriver.
Investigation showed the victim and the suspects had an unresolved conflict, according to P/Corp. Wilfredo Rosal of the Moalboal Police Station.
Before the incident, the victim and Paulo had a fistfight during their argument. Gustavo came to his son’s defense by stabbing Putian with a screwdriver several times.
The suspects later surrendered to the police station. (GPL, MMC)
