A 57-YEAR-OLD fisherman died after he was hit by motorcycle past 3 p.m. Monday, September 10, in Sitio Sangi, Barangay Madridejos, Alegria, Cebu.
Police identified the fatality as Honorato Vallentos Abueva, who succumbed to injuries to the head and other parts of his body.
The motorcycle driver, identified as Christopher Dave Redoble Dominguez, and back rider Arnel Redoble suffered minor injuries.
The 27-year-old call center employee was detained after his wounds were treated in a public hospital.
It was found out during the investigation that Abueva was crossing the street when he was hit by the motorcycle.
Abueva's head hit the road. He lost his consciousness.
A team from Alegria Municipal Risk Reduction and Disaster Management Office applied first aid on Abueva before bringing him to Reinhard Wirtgen Memorial Hospital.
Abueva, however, had zero vital signs when attended to by the doctor in the emergency room.
Dominguez will face reckless imprudence, resulting in homicide if he fails to reach a settlement with the victim's family. (KAL)
