Four firearms, ammunition seized from arrested ‘hitman’

AN alleged hitman of a big-time drug personality was caught in a raid in Barangay Poblacion East, Moalboal last Monday afternoon.

Suspect Jonathan Peque Rosal yielded a .9mm Ingram pistol loaded with 20 bullets, a .38 revolver loaded with three bullets, Frontier revolver loaded with four 5.56mm bullets, an air gun and a hand grenade.

Two packs of dried leaves believed to be marijuana were also seized from Rosal.

The operatives from Moalboal Police Station led by Senior Insp. Ramil Morpos and 2nd Provincial Mobile Force Company led by Insp.

Joey Mangle served the search warrant against the suspect.

Barili Regional Trial Court Branch 60 Judge Leopoldo Cañete issued the warrant.

Morpos said Rosal worked as an assassin for drug lord Christian Tabanao Aquino, who was killed in a police operation in Mandaue City in May 2017.

Rosal allegedly often harassed his neighbors and often fired his gun for no apparent reason. (KAL)
