Housewife arrested for ‘shabu sandwich’

A HOUSEWIFE was arrested inside the Sawang Calero Police Station in Cebu City after she was caught smuggling shabu for her detained husband by hiding them in bread slices.

Jocelyn Villarico Daclison, 51, a resident of Tupas Street in Barangay Sawang Calero, couldn’t deny her crime after she was caught red-handed by police attempting to smuggle the drugs inside the police station’s detention cells.

Based on the station’s report, Daclison was visiting her husband who was detained at the station at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021.

Daclison’s husband was recently detained for possesion of illegal drugs.

While visiting her husband, Daclison brought a pack of sliced bread that she had planned to give to him.

But as the station’s jail officer was inspecting the pack of sliced bread that Daclison brought, he found two packs of suspected shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia such as disposable lighter and tin foil.

Instead of visiting her husband, Daclison will be joining him at the station’s jail cell and is set to be charged for possessoin of illegal drugs. (AYB / JKV)
