A SECURITY guard is seen striking a motorcycle taxi (habal-habal) driver with a metal barrier on his way out of IT Park in Barangay Apas, Cebu City.
The incident occurred past 5 p.m. of August 29.
The driver, identified as Marson Mangubat, a former security guard in IT Park, who hails from Barangay Sapangdaku, Cebu City, sustained injuries in his knee and arm.
A dispute between another security guard and the motorcycle driver is said to have triggered the incident and led to the blocking.
Mangubat said in an interview with Brigada News that a security guard approached him and told him to leave as he was allegedly waiting for passengers at the IT Park terminal.
He claimed to have followed the guard's order, but the latter continued, "Unsa man ka gahi ka? "Are you tough?)," wherein he responded, Loslos ninyo, sobra ra man sad mo ka-estrikto diri (How dare you, you are very strict here).
Mangubat identified that security marshal who hit him with a metal barrier as Ronelo Bertulfo and the one who issued him citation ticket as Cebu City Traffic Office-deputized guard Narciso A.M. (TPT)
