The Environmental Management Bureau (EMB) in Central Visayas released a statement Friday, saying the presence of light haze in Metro Cebu has been confirmed by the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“We are humbly asking the public, especially those belonging to sensitive groups, to stay indoors and avoid outdoor activities. Everyone is advised to take precautionary measures, such as wearing appropriate masks,” EMB said.
Cebu City Councilor Joel Garganera said the EMB has deployed its air monitoring team, but no results of the air monitoring test is available yet. (AML/LMY)
