THE man who was believed to have been kidnapped by supernatural beings or engkanto has already returned at his in-laws’ home in Barangay Bongon, Tabuelan town, northwest Cebu.

Baby Grace, wife of Lloyd Suquib, 47, from Barangay Pulangbato, Cebu City, thought that her husband had been abducted by an engkanto, while wandering the forested area nearby for some fresh air.

She claimed that on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, they arrived at their parents’ house, but Lloyd left at 2 p.m. and made his way to the forested area to unwind and cool off.

Lloyd left his car, cellphone and wallet with cash at home.

When night fell and Lloyd still had not returned, they began to panic and search for him.

They sought assistance from a faith healer, who claimed that her husband had been taken to a cave by an engkanto.

On Wednesday, October 4, Baby Grace said that they went to a cave in Tabuelan, but Lloyd was not there.

According to Baby Grace, the faith healer assured them that Lloyd would return at 8 p.m. because, throughout the rite, his cane pointed at the number 8 on the clock.

Lloyd indeed arrived back at 8 p.m. and he was shocked to see a large number of people assembled at his in-laws' home.

Baby Grace explained to Lloyd that they were worried about his safety because he had gone missing for more than a day, but the husband claimed that two hours had passed since he left.

The wife said that Lloyd was pale, cold and not in his right mind when he arrived.

According to her, Lloyd refused when they offered him food because he was not hungry nor thirsty.

When Baby Grace asked him if he was fed by the engkanto, he responded that he had declined to eat with them because he believed that if he accepted their offer, he would be unable to return to earth.

Baby Grace added that her husband had told her that while he was in the jungle, he was dragged and taken to a location that he likened to a paradise.

Lloyd claimed to have seen creatures there who looked like humans, and one of them reportedly remarked, "Bring back Lloyd, someone is looking for him."

According to Lloyd, a motorcyclist brought him back to Barangay Bongon.

Baby Grace described her spouse as a responsible and attractive man.

To avoid a repeat of the occurrence, she vowed to watch her husband whenever they were in Tabuelan.

She noted that since Lloyd drives their multicab, she would always bring him when they went back to Tabuelan.
