A 45-YEAR-OLD man was found beheaded around 8 a.m. Monday, May 7, in Barangay Matun-og, Balamban, Cebu.
Police identified the fatality as Porfirio Petaled, a resident of Matun-og.
The victim has hack wounds in the abdomen and neck. The assailants are still unidentified.
Before he was found dead, police said Petaled had a drinking binge with his neighbor Joel Mahinay on Sunday night, May 6.
Afterwards, the victim did not return home. Petaled, when drunk, often reportedly went berserk.
Matun-og Barangay Captain Honey Trinidad Baynarja reported the discovery of the victim's body to the police. (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
