A 32-YEAR-OLD man was mauled to death outside a disco venue in Sitio Tinago Tingting, Barangay Maricaba, Santa Fe, Bantayan Island past midnight Sunday, May 19.
The fatality was identified as Roberto Basino, a construction worker and resident of Tinago Tingting.
Santa Fe Police Station Chief Edwin Pasquete identified the suspect as Ramil Jade Layam, who is 19 and a resident of Proper Maricaba.
A murder complaint will be filed against Layam, who was arrested after the incident, on Monday, May 20.
Pasquete told Superbalita Cebu that a disco was held for the fiesta of Tinago Tingting before the incident happened.
Layam and Basino were drinking liquor with their respective groups.
After the disco ended at 12 a.m., the victim went out of the venue to urinate by the roadside.

A certain Leo Sisbreño, who saw the incident, called out for help. The victim was rushed to Bantayan District Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
