Man killed in Duljo Fatima shooting

A MAN was shot dead by an unidentified gunman in Sitio Spolarium, Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City in the early hours of Wednesday, November 2, 2022.

The victim was identified as a 39-year-old resident of Barangay Cogon Pardo.

The victim (name withheld as requested by the family) was sitting on his motorcycle when the gunman approached and shot him.

He was the third person to be shot and killed in Duljo Fatima after a couple were shot dead inside a hut in Sitio Continental on Monday, October 31.

Major Bethooven Taneo, chief of the Mambaling Police Station, said that based on their initial investigation, the victim was in Duljo Fatima to procure illegal drugs.

He said they still do noy have a motive on why the victim was killed.

But Taneo believed the man who shot the victim was the same man who shot and killed Juanito Apari, 34, and his live-in partner, Editha Pulbos, 40.

Based on the descriptions given by witnesses, the gunman in both shootings wore a jacket and did not have a face mask on.

Apari, like the victim, was also a drug runner, the police chief added. (BBT)
