THE stabbing death of a 41-year-old man in Barangay Duljo Fatima, Cebu City, was thought to have been motivated by jealousy.
The incident occurred past 1 pm. on Sunday, May 14, 2023.
Police Major Jonathan Bethoven Taneo, chief of Mambaling Police Station 11, identified the victim as Rodolfo Sombilon alias Opong, and the suspect as Roel Angco alias Estoy, 39.
Taneo said the victim’s sibling reported the incident to their station.
Sombilon succumbed to stab wounds in the abdomen.
He was rushed to the hospital but was declared on arrival.
Taneo said they received information that the suspect and his wife frequently quarreled due to the latter’s supposed involvement with the victim. (BBT, TPT)
