LAWYER Dominador Cimafranca is now the new officer-in-charge regional director of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Central Visayas.
He replaced lawyer Patricio Bernales Jr., who had served the NBI-Central Visayas for more than two years.
Cimafranca served as the assistant regional director of NBI-Central Visayas.
Bernales was reassigned two days after the NBI-Central Visayas filed administrative and criminal complaints against the police officers of Carbon Police Station who are involved in the death of four-year-old Skyler Abatayo last July 10 in Sitio Bato, Barangay Ermita.

In an interview, Bernales said that the relief and reassignment to the NBI-Northern Mindanao office was a "personal choice." (JOB)
