A TOTAL of 457 houses will be built in Bantayan town, Bantayan Island for the victims of super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan).
The groundbreaking ceremony and blessing of the Kabiayan ni Man Liling model house in the town’s Barangay Kangkaibe was held on Tuesday, June 27, 2023.
The National Housing Authority and the local government of Bantayan came up with the idea for the housing project for families in the municipality who were displaced by super typhoon Yolanda in November 2013.
Bantayan Mayor Arthur Despi said he was grateful that the P208-million project can already be started. (ANV / TPT)
