'Peeping Tom' nabbed for stabbing in Talisay

A 42-year-old man accused of peeping a woman was nabbed via a citizen's arrest after he stabbed his neighbor who called his attention.

The incident happened at 12:30 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022, in Sitio Riverside 2, Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu.

Police Corporal Noel Timagos, case investigator, identified the suspect as Rosbeto "Beto" Eheda, 42, of Purok Gumamela, Barangay San Roque, Talisay and the stabbing victim as Mark Wilson Reyes, 23, of Sitio Riverside 2.

Police investigation showed that Eheda was peeping a woman, who is also a neighbor of Reyes, who in turn got a flash light and aimed it at the suspect.

Reyes reportedly went back to his home but the accused was following him and stabbed him with an icepick.

The victim was able to evade the first attack and run but fell and was eventually stabbed by the suspect in the chest.

Despite being wounded, Reyes still managed to run towards the home of his sibling where he asked help.

Reyes was brought to Talisay City District Hospital, while responding tanods Juvelyn Floro, Felix Mojados and Niño Basillote caught the suspect.

The San Roque barangay tanods turned over the suspect as well as his ice pick to Talisay City Police Station for the proper disposition of his case. (BBT)
