THE Talisay City police have not monitored any presence of gun-for-hire groups since they increased police visibility in their area of jurisdiction with the help of barangay tanods.
But Police Lieutenant Colonel Randy Caballes, chief of Talisay City Police Station, did not discount the possibility that these gun-for-hire groups are still active following the two shooting incidents that recently occurred in Toledo City, midwest Cebu and in Talisay.
Caballes cited the curfew for minors, which they implemented everyday along with the barangay tanods, as a great help to deter crimes. (BBT, TPT)
