Police on alert for Typhoon Auring

POLICE personnel in Central Visayas are on alert and standby in their respective police stations to ensure a fast response to any eventualities with Typhoon Auring expected to affect Cebu province.

Police Brigadier General Ronnie Montejo, Director of the Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 ordered his personnel to standby in their police stations and prepare their search and rescue equipment.

Police Colonel Aladdin Collado, Cebu Provincial Police chief, said he has alerted his subordinates including their cooperation with the crisis response section of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion to assist them in the deployment in the northern provinces of Cebu.

“We already alerted most of the towns in the northern part of Cebu and the whole province,” said Collado.
