SHOW proof.

This was the response of Senior Superintendent Angelito Dumangeng of the Police Regional Office-Central Visayas to Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña who claimed that hitmen from Negros Oriental are staying in PC Hills, the residence of police officials.

"If there are accusations, it should be supported with evidence," said Dumangeng, the deputy regional director for operations.

He denied the hitmen are staying in the compound in Barangay Lahug, Cebu City.

The police official also challenged Osmeña to pursue filing a complaint against Cebu City Police Office Director Royina Garma if she will not heed the mayor's request to assign Special Weapons and Tactics (Swat) team to police mobile units and establish a detachment in hot spots.

"Mag-file siya? Eh, di mag-file siya," Dumangeng said. "We will not be distracted by statements from people basta kami gagawin lang namin ang trabaho namin."

When asked if there should be a dialogue between Osmeña and the police, Dumangeng said, "hopefully." But he did not elaborate on which camp should initiate such move.

"Sino ba na man ang hindi makakagusto na dapat sana we will work together kasi wala na mang makinabang diyan kung di yung community," he said. "I hope we can just work together and improve yung peace and order situation ng ating region." (KAL/SunStar Cebu)
