PRESIDENT Rodrigo Duterte will be in Cebu again anytime this week, a police official said.
Chief Superintendent Debold Sinas, the Police Regional Office (PRO)-Central Visayas director, said security has been tightened in the region.
Sinas did not divulge the date of the visit, saying he is not authoritzed to do so.
The announcement of the President's planned visit came a day after his latest tirade against Cebu City Mayor Tomas Osmeña for taking into his custody the three men who were caught by Parian police for selling butane canisters refilled with liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) last month.

Duterte first threatened to hit the mayor in public when he was the guest of Mandaue City's 49th charter day celebration on August 30. The President said Osmeña accused him of being a protector in the illegal drug trade.
Sinas said the intelligence units of PRO-Central Visayas have been monitoring the region following the explosion in General Santos City that left seven persons wounded last Sunday night, September 16.
