VISITORS to the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) will soon be able to see a performance by the dancing inmates as part of the urban adventure package tour organized by the Cebu Provincial Government.
Governor Gwendolyn Garcia is taking this into consideration, and trip packages will now include Cordova town on Mactan Island, as well as the cities of Lapu-Lapu, Cebu, and Mandaue.
According to Garcia, the CPDRC dancing inmates will now perform on a weekly basis.
However, the frequency of these performances may increase depending on the requests made to the Cebu Provincial Tourism Office.
The CPDRC inmates gave another performance as their gift to Mama Mary’s birthday celebration on Friday, September 8.
CPDRC jail warden Reynaldo Valmoria said that they will perform once more on the same day the following year.(ANV, TPT)
