FIRECRACKERS worth P150,000 were confiscated by personnel of the Carbon Police Station in Cebu City after they were allegedly smuggled inside the Cebu South Bus Terminal (CSBT) on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2021.

Operatives of Carbon Police Station led by Major Kenneth Albotra rushed to the CSBT at around 10 a.m. on Thursday after they received a call from a concerned citizen regarding a cargo of firecrackers being kept on a passenger bus bound for Dumaguete City in Negros Oriental.

Upon reaching the terminal, Albotra and his personnel were able to recover the cargo but its owner was nowhere in sight.

Police believe that the owner of the firecrackers immediately left the terminal after seeing them.

Albotra told reporters that they immediately checked if the cargo of firecrackers had any papers on them, but terminal officials failed to provide police with permits.
