A stowaway was found dead inside a car parked at a parking area in Barangay Kamputhaw, Cebu City around 11 a.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022.
The man, believed to be in his mid-40s or early 50s, remains unidentified as of this writing.
Case investigator Chief Master Sergeant Lydio Libres Jr. of the Abellana Police Station said they received a call regarding the discovery of a dead person inside the Geely Coolray sports utility vehicle driven by a certain Dondon Paquibot, 28.
Paquibot narrated that he dropped by a car dealership to do some transactions but when he went back to his car to deliver some goods to Talisay City he noticed that somebody was sitting on the backseat, prompting him to alert the guard on duty, Jose Manzanares.
The man, with only his shorts on, was already lifeless when he checked him.
The responding policemen from the Scene of the Crime Operatives (Soco) found no foul play in the death of the victim, adding the latter could have died due to lack of oxygen inside the car. (BBT, TPT)
