THE SunStar Media Group won four awards in the Philippine Press Institute 2022 Civic Journalism Community Press Awards held on April 25, 2023 at the Citadines Bay City in Pasay City.
SunStar Cebu was awarded Best in Environmental Reporting and Best in Business and Economic Reporting, while SunStar Davao took home Best Edited Newspaper and Best in Photojournalism.
SunStar Pampanga was also nominated for the different categories.
SunStar Cebu was represented by its executive publisher, Nestor B. Ramirez (in photo, right), while SunStar Davao was represented by its editor-in-chief Reuel John F. Lumuwag (left).
