AN ALLEGED hitman and his live-in partner were killed, while another was hurt during an anti-illegal drug operation conducted by the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) on Monday afternoon, March 25.

Killed during the operation were Alex Cuyogan, an alleged hit-man, and his live-in partner, Johanna Mae Dilar, who died while being transported to the hospital.

Senior Insp. Alejandro Batobalonos, PIB head, said that Cuyogan started shooting at his operatives when he noticed that he was transacting with police.

Cuyogan attempted to shoot against the raiding team.

During the shoot out, Cuyogan and Dilar took shelter at the house of Marissa Prajes and her family.

But the shoot out also resulted to Resty Abellana, 23, getting hurt after he was shot in the stomach.

It has yet to be determine if Cuyogan or the police hit Abellana.

Abellana's three-year-old daughter was almost hit by the shootout but her father was able to throw her towards a safe area.

Recovered after the operation were 100 grams of suspected shabu worth P700,000.

Batobalonos said aside from being a "gun-for-hire," Cuyogan reportedly sold illegal drugs in the area and was considered "armed and dangerous" due to his involvement in various shooting incidents.

"He is notorious in Mananga. He has been involved in various unsolved killings in Cebu," Batobalonos added.

In a Facebook Live interview with Superbalita Cebu, Prajes described Cuyogan as a troublemaker in their area and that her husband was even victimized by him once.

Barangay Tabunok councilror Vicente Rabaya agreed with Prajes of Cuyogan's notoriety in the area.

Rabaya confirmed they've been received complaints from residents in Sitio Mananga 2 of Cuyogan reportedly firing his firearm several times.

Rabaya was grateful to residents there for finally showing bravery in reporting to authorities of Cuyogan's criminal activities.

Aside from PIB, the Talisay City Police Station also assisted in the operation. (AYB of SUPERBALITA CEBU)
