The tertulia, a social gathering with literary or artistic overtones (Wikipedia), was held on Aug. 31, 2023, via Zoom.

The panel of discussants were Dr. Bea Martinez Lastimosa (USC), who presented “Ang Larawan sa Tapete: Pagsusuri sa Konsepto ng Kapayapaan sa mga Maikling Kuwento ni Lamberto Ceballos,” and Dr. Desiree Balota (Rogationist Seminary College), who presented “Ang Wika ng Suliranin at Solusyon sa mga Piling Kolum nina Noy Kulas at DJ Jacky G sa Taong 2023.”

The other discussants were Dr. Lita Bacalla (Cebu Normal University), and Jose Antonio Dasig Jr. (USC), who presented “Repleksyon ng Kapayapaan sa mga Maikling Kwento ni Tiburcio Baguio.”

All discussions revolved around the different concepts of peace and how they relate to the Cebuano language. Through these discourses, the tertulia aims to further enrich the knowledge of Cebuano as an instrument of peace, according to the organizers.
