USC graduate ranks 6th in Chemical Engineer Licensure Exam

A UNIVERSITY of San Carlos (USC) graduate has made it to the top 10 in the list of passers of the Chemical Engineer Licensure Examination, which was given in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo and Legazpi in October this year.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) said that Bryce Victor Abello Dy of USC got a passing rate of 85.10 percent. He placed sixth in the exam.

Ranked first in the test was Jerome Ignatius Tan Garces of De La Salle University-Manila with 89.30 percent rating, followed by Oliver Roy Prayon Mangosing of Xavier University with 88.30 percent, and Caesar John Trinidad Alcoriza of the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman with 87.80 percent.

In fourth and fifth places were UP Diliman graduates Michael Tan Castro who got 86.30 percent and Joshua Therell Sayos Cuesta with 85.70 percent, respectively.

Also in the top 10 were: Denver Recayo Pascua of University of Santo Tomas (7th, 84.50 percent), Chris Ian Llanera Avendano of UP Los Banos (8th, 84.10 percent), Jan Carlo Japor Tinaja of UP Diliman (9th, 84 percent), and Angelo Joseph Munda Suzara of UP Diliman with 83.80 percent (10th).

The PRC said that 531 out of 1,036 passed the exam.

It said in an advisory that the registration for the issuance of the professional identification card (ID) and certificate of registration will be done online on November 28, 29 and December 1 and 2, 2022.

“Those who will register are required to bring the following: downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, notice of admission (for identification only), two pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag), two sets of documentary stamps and one piece short brown envelope. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals,” it said.

The PRC has yet to announce the date and venue for the oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees. (LMY)
