THE person who killed a widow, whose body was thrown into the sea in Dalaguete, Cebu, surrendered to police Tuesday night, December 4.
Dalaguete police identified the suspect as Junrey Besin Gesalan, 28, a resident of Barangay Banhigan, Dalaguete.
Police reports stated that Gesalan confessed that he killed Jocelyn Caberte Amarila, 52, widow, a resident of the same village.
The suspect narrated he tied Amarila's body with a rope and a stone. He, then, threw the body into the sea.
According to Chief Inspector Rolan Aliser, initial investigation showed that Gesalan accused Amarila of voodoo or 'barang' that led to the death of Gesalan's mother.
