A MAN was caught stealing after it was noticed that he did not pass through the counter while carrying two pairs of pants around 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2025, inside a mall in Barangay Apas, Cebu City.

The suspect, identified as 34-year-old Jeremey Abarquez Pepito from Daan Bantayan, Cebu, but currently residing in Sitio Tisa, Barangay Labangon, Cebu City, was arrested by the Mabolo Police Station.

Police said Pepito is a notorious thief.

Two pairs of RRJ brand pants worth a total of P2,598 were found in his possession.

The suspect admitted to the crime, revealing that he had been arrested multiple times by authorities but always managed to get out.

He also mentioned that he used to steal pants from a different brand, but because he was being closely watched, he switched to stealing RRJ-brand pants. He would then sell them at a cheaper price before returning to his stealing ways. (AYB)
