A 43-year-old man died after being shot in Sitio Phantom, Barangay Lorega San Miguel, Cebu City, on Wednesday evening, March 19, 2025..
Police identified the victim as Edgar Calledo Devibar, also known as Junlot, 43, a resident of the same barangay.
According to the initial reports from the Parian Police Station 1, two men onboard a scooter motorcycle approached Devibar around 6:24 p.m.
One of them was wearing a black jacket and black trousers, while the other was wearing a yellow raincoat and shorts.
The two individuals approached the victim and shot him. Afterward, they returned to their motorcycle and fled.
Rescuers rushed Devibar to the Cebu City Medical Center.
The Scene of the Crime Operation personnel recovered four live bullets, two empty shells, and a .45 caliber casing from the crime scene.
The Parian Police Station has launched a manhunt operation to find the suspects.
Police Major Marvin Figarido, chief of the Parian Police Station, said the victim was a known drug personality with a record of arrests in previous police operations. / AYB
