BY JULY this year, Mandani Bay will open its 500-meter boardwalk to the public.
The boardwalk will be accessible from as early as 5 a.m. until 10 p.m. The expansive boulevard will offer space for jogging, strolling, al fresco dining and other open-air experiences.
The soft opening will also provide the public with a preview of the development of Mandani Bay’s retail component.
Gilbert Ang, Mandani Bay’s project manager, also announced that at least 20 stores at Mandani Bay’s The Boardwalk area are slated to open by the end of the year.
“The lifestyle component of Mandani Bay is now slowly taking place,” said Ang, in a media briefing.
Developer HTLand Inc. held a contract-signing event on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, with a diverse group of brands, mostly homegrown, to open at The Shops at Mandani Bay.
The Shops at Mandani Bay features a mix of popular and unique dining and retail options. New tenants preparing to open at The Boardwalk include Taiwanese restaurant Red House Shabu Shabu, Abaca, Acacia Steakhouse, Poke Bowls, Snow Café and Café Laguna. Kiosks for Lemon Co., Thirsty, Potato Corner and Chaboba X Yoboo will also be located at The Boardwalk.
The latest additions within Mandani Bay Suites include Watsons’ first sustainability store in Cebu, Japanese shabu-shabu restaurant Chankonabe, Coffee Station, Amana Spa and Wellness, and Dharana Yoga Studio. These businesses join previously announced tenants such as Yukga, Etta’s, The Fat Chair, Chill Laundry Lounge and Metro Gourmet. Ang said more tenants are currently in the final stages of negotiations.
The Boardwalk
Mandani Bay’s The Boardwalk is a 500-meter waterfront promenade overlooking the Mactan Channel.
Designed to emulate world-class waterfront projects, The Boardwalk will offer space for exercise, relaxation and dining.
“We are proud of The Shops and The Boardwalk at Mandani Bay. We are definitely getting closer and closer to realizing our vision of making Cebu a world-class lifestyle destination. Here our passions converge and life is truly enjoyed,” said Ang.
Ang said The Boardwalk was inspired by the retail concepts of Aomori, Japan, Lakeview, Dubai and Quayside Isle @ Sentosa, Singapore.
Launched in 2017, Mandani Bay is a 20-hectare master-planned waterfront community in Cebu. The development aims to integrate residential offerings with lifestyle spaces that highlight culture, creativity, adventure and Cebu’s waterfront.
