PROPERTY developer Megaworld Corp. is entering the ultra-luxury residential market with a new brand targeting ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs) in the Philippines and abroad, as demand for exclusive, long-hold real estate continues to rise.

The company launched the Megaworld Signature Collection, a curated line of high-end, one-of-a-kind residences to be built in select, limited locations across the country. The brand marks a strategic expansion of Megaworld’s portfolio into the most premium tier of the property market.

Unlike its existing upscale offerings, the Signature Collection will consist of bespoke developments featuring first-of-their-kind amenities, exclusive innovations, or limited-edition collaborations. Megaworld said it plans to release new projects under the brand only once or twice annually.

The move comes amid growing global interest in “quiet luxury” and non-fungible real estate assets, driven by expanding generational wealth and strong demand among affluent buyers seeking privacy and permanence in property ownership.

According to S&P Global, the Philippines’ ultra-luxury property segment has shown resilience despite inflation and elevated interest rates, with demand largely insulated by the spending power of UHNWIs.

Megaworld said it is launching its first project under the brand within the year. In 2024, Megaworld posted a 19 percent year-on-year increase in real estate revenues, reaching nearly P1 billion. It also logged P131.9 billion in reservation sales and launched P31.8 billion worth of new projects during the year. / KOC
