The 81-year-old Thomas Markle Sr., the estranged father of Meghan Markle and father-in-law of Prince Harry, returned to America on May 1, 2026.

Based on a report by the Daily Mail, Markle Sr. returned to America to be fitted for a state-of-the-art prosthetic limb. His Filipina nurse girlfriend, 46-year-old Rio Canedo, was reportedly the one who accompanied him to the airport.

Thomas Markle Sr. had been living in Cebu for a year, where his left leg was amputated due to “dying tissue” in December 2025.

The estranged relationship between Markle Sr. and his daughter Meghan has long been a major topic in the news, with reports saying that Meghan still has not reunited with her father up to now. / TRC S
