WELJOHN Mindoro continues his hot streak in the US after winning his fourth straight victory, stopping Dormedes Potes in the third round on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025 (PH time), at the ProBox TV Events Center in Plant City, Florida.
The 25-year-old Mindoro punished Potes, landing some vicious combinations to the head and body.
In the third round, Mindoro landed to powerful shots to the body of Potes that hurt him.
The 32-year-old Colombian didn’t want any more punishment and quit on his stool, giving Mindoro the stoppage win.
Mindoro remained undefeated at 15-0-1 with 15 knockouts, while Potes suffered his fourth straight loss and dropped to 14-8-1 with 10 knockouts.
Since making his US debut last year, Mindoro has now four wins on American soil with knockout victories over Tyler Goodjohn, Lucas de Abreu, Omar Gutierrez, and now Potes. / EKA
