THE number 8 most wanted person at the regional level facing a case of Qualified Sexual Assault was arrested by the Tagbilaran City Police Station at 1:35 p.m., Thursday, March 13, 2025, on Calceta Street, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The accused was identified as alias Danilo, 33, a resident of Purok 6, Calceta Street, Barangay Cogon, Tagbilaran City.
The police in Tagbilaran City served the warrant of arrest against Danilo, which was issued by Judge Samsun Ariel Chiang-Cayetuna, the Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 3, in Tagbilaran City, Bohol.
The court set bail at P200,000 for his temporary freedom, dated March 5, 2025.
Danilo is currently under the custody of the Tagbilaran City Police Station and is scheduled to appear in court, which issued the warrant of arrest.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel John Kareen Escober, the head of Tagbilaran City Police Station, the crime occurred in January 2025, and the victim was a neighbor of the accused.
Information gathered by the police revealed that the accused is unemployed but is involved in illegal drug activities in the area, which may have led to his committing the assault on the victim. (AYB)
