‘Avengers: Endgame’ (2019) – $1.2B
This film remains the highest-grossing opening weekend of all time worldwide. It is also the second highest-grossing film in history, behind “Avatar.”
‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ (2026) – $927M
This latest Spider-Man installment now holds the record for the biggest domestic opening weekend of all time in the United States and Canada, earning $360 million. It also ranks second for the highest worldwide opening weekend.
‘Avengers: Infinity War’ (2018) – $640.5M
This superhero epic was the first film in the genre to surpass $2 billion at the global box office. It is currently the seventh highest-grossing film of all time.
‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ (2021) – $600.5M
Tom Holland’s third solo outing as Spider-Man is the eighth highest-grossing film of all time.
‘Zootopia 2’ (2025) – $560.3M
The sequel to the 2016 animated comedy “Zootopia” is the second highest-grossing animated film of all time, behind “Ne Zha 2” and ranks as the ninth highest-grossing film overall.
‘The Fate of the Furious’ (2017) – $541.9M
Starring Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, this action blockbuster was the third highest-grossing film of 2017 and the 11th highest-grossing film overall that year.
‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ (2015) – $528.9M
This first installment of the Star Wars sequel trilogy and the seventh episode in the Skywalker Saga earned $2.07 billion worldwide. It remains the highest-grossing film of all time in the United States and Canada and was the third highest-grossing film globally in 2015.
‘Jurassic World’ (2015) – $525.5M
This installment became the highest-grossing film in the “Jurassic Park” franchise, earning $1.671 billion worldwide. It is currently the 11th highest-grossing film of all time.
‘Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows’ – Part 2 (2011) – $483.1M
The final chapter of the Harry Potter franchise remains its highest-grossing film. It previously held the record for the biggest worldwide opening weekend until it was surpassed by “Jurassic World” in 2015.
‘Captain Marvel’ (2019) – $456.7M
