
The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB) rated and classified a total of 103,652 materials from January to June 2025, reflecting the agency’s intensified efforts to ensure age-appropriate content across platforms.
In a press release on Saturday, July 5, MTRCB Chairperson and chief executive officer Lala Sotto-Antonio emphasized the agency’s commitment to protecting viewers, particularly minors, by promoting informed and responsible viewing.
The agency reviewed 65,769 television programs; 36,263 TV plugs; 834 publicity materials; 490 movie trailers; and 287 local and foreign films. An additional nine publicity materials were also rated.
“We remain fully committed to our mission of protecting viewers by using age-appropriate rating and classification,” Antonio said. “Through this, we can help parents and supervising adults in making informed viewing choices, especially for children.”
