A MEMBER of a gun-for-hire group known as the Nadera Gun-for-Hire was arrested by Inayawan Police Station on Monday, March 26, 2025.
The suspect was identified as Ryan Ebales Recto, 22, a resident of Villa Bulsita, Barangay Bulacao, Cebu City.
He was apprehended by responding police officers from Inayawan Police Station after receiving a report that he was armed in Villa Bulsita, Barangay Bulacao.
Recovered from him were a 9mm pistol with ammunition and two sachets of shabu.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Maria Theresa Macatangay, deputy city director for operations of the Cebu City Police Office, said Recto has a previous record related to a shooting case.
He was identified as the suspect in the shooting incidents that occurred on May 22 and 23, 2025, in Barangay Bulacao.
“Nahibaw-an through other information gathered from other arrested individuals sad pud ba nga kauban ni nila nga personality nga nadakpan... So mao na siya ang nahitabo nganong nasayran nato that this particular individual is connected sa Nadera Gun-Fire-Group,” said Macatangay.

The Cebu City Police Office will conduct a deeper investigation on other possible shooting incidents in the city in which Recto may be involved.
They will also work to identify Recto’s associates who are still at large and believed to be actively operating in the city as part of the Nadera Gun-for-Hire Group. (AYB)
