NEW toll rates for the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) will take effect on July 1, 2025, along with a provisional discounted rate implemented by the expressway’s management.
The Local Toll Regulatory Council (LTRC) approved the toll adjustments, which will be implemented in phases at a later date.
The new toll matrix approved by the LTRC is as follows:
• P68 for Class 1M vehicles or motorcycles with engine displacements 110cc to 399 cc.
• P107 for Class 1 vehicles (motorcycles 400cc and up; and vehicles with two or three axles with a height of up to seven feet such as cars, jeeps, pick-ups and small vans.)
• P214 for Class 2 vehicles (or those with two or three axles and a height of more than seven feet such as light trucks, buses and high-roof vans.)
• P321 for Class 3 vehicles (or rigid trucks with three or more axles and a height of more than seven feet such as heavy and multi-axles trucks and trailers.)
A discounted rate, implemented by CCLEX management, will begin July 1:
* Class 1M vehicles: P65
* Class 1 vehicles: P100
* Class 2 vehicles: P200
* Class 3 vehicles: P300
Previous toll rates (before July 1, 2025):
* Class 1M vehicles (motorcycles 110cc to 399cc): P60
* Class 1 vehicles: P90
* Class 2 vehicles: P180
* Class 3 vehicles: P270
In 2024, CCLEX management proposed a similar toll increase ranging from P8 to P51, which drew opposition from the public transportation sector and prompted the Cebu Provincial Board to call
for a dialogue.
Toll adjustments for the 8.9-kilometer expressway—which connects Cebu City to Cordova—are implemented every two years under a Concession Agreement with the Cebu City and Cordova governments and Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corp. The LTRC oversees toll-setting.
Since opening in April 2022, CCLEX has reduced travel time between Cebu City and Mactan Island by 20 percent to 75 percent, from the previous 82 to 85 minutes. / EHP
